Job opportunity for full-stack web developers

The Smart Sense Laboratory is looking for full-stack web developers to work on a Research and Development project in partnership with Petrobras. The project involves researchers and developers from the Department of Computer Science at UFMG.

The professional will work on the development of a real-time video processing system with features such as scalability, high performance and distributed processing for the purpose of providing scene analysis and monitoring of individuals.

In addition to the challenges, this job position is also an interdisciplinary learning opportunity, comprising state-of-the-art technologies in the following areas covered by the system:

  • Massive data processing
  • Distributed systems
  • Design of surveillance systems
  • Control of active cameras
  • Machine learning (Deep Learning)

The Smart Sense Laboratory is an enriching work and research environment, actively pursuing research in such areas.

The employment contract will be under the CLT regime. The salary is R $ 5760.48, in addition to commuter benefit and meal voucher. The workload is 40 hours per week, to be performed in our laboratory (located in the ICEx building, Pampulha campus).

Required qualifications

The requirement for the position is to have graduated in Computer Science related areas or have equivalent professional experience, have experience with front-end (such as HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, etc.) and back-end development.

Desirable qualifications

Experience with Python, web frameworks (for instance, React, AngularJS, Materialize, Bootstrap, or others), and databases (preferably NoSQL).
